ANNIVERSARY CENTENNIAL GALA

May
7th, 2011 is fast approaching and plans are taking shape for this
100th Celebration. We are anticipating a great event that many of you
would not want to miss.
Dinner
promises to be delicious.. a choice of Beef tenderloin, or chicken,
along with all the trimmings, and a
Champagne
reception to start.
Our
own Honorary member, 1976 NL and Brier Champion, Jack MacDuff
will be the guest speaker for the evening, and if you've never had the
pleasure of Jack's story telling.. you're in for a treat!
1976
NL Brier Champion, Honorary member, and Olympic Coach, Toby MacDonald
will be our emcee for the evening. What could be better!
Tickets
are available at the Bar - place your name on the list provided, pay
the bartender and I will personally see to it that you receive your
tickets for the gala.
Tables
can be pre-chosen. All you need is a group of 10. Indicate
on the listing the table name you've chosen and again, you'll be
seated together for the event. Think about your 2010-11 curling
team, bring along your spouses or significant others, and you've got a
table of 8 already.. See how easy it is!
If
you'd prefer to have me handle the particulars for you, leave a
message on my voice mail at 709-726-9863 and I'll make arrangement to
get payment from you and deliver your tickets.. What more could you
ask for!
The
St. John's
Curling Club Association has been a cornerstone of many of our lives..
It's supported many of us on our quest to become National Champions,
has provided us with endless entertainment, has given us friends we'll
have forever and now, on May 7th, it's your chance to enjoy the
celebrations together. You really don't want to miss that do you???
Get
dressed up, have some fun with friends, reacquaint with old friends
and help us reminisce about our AWESOME HISTORY.. May 7th, 2011.. 100
years later

Three
course dinner of Salad, Beef Tenderloin, Dessert, Tea and Coffee, and
of course, with wine on the tables.
A
retrospective of the years going back to the original association and
including the old
and new.
The
Guest Speaker and Emcee will have to remain a surprise for now… We
can’t reveal everything just yet.
Note:
An alternate meal selection of Chicken will be available for anyone
that doesn’t like or eat beef. You can indicate this on the form at
the BAR.
